Asian Elephants are mostly being killed for their tusks, but why? Seriously do we nee bigger teeth? Honestly, I don't think we do. That is exactly the problem we don't NEED elephants ivory, but we want it.

Save The Elephants!

How are we going to save these animals? There only a few options now that the problem has gotten so far. First, we have to stop the ivory trade, if the trade continues the chance of Asian elephants going extinct is much greater. Secondly, we can build captive breeding programs that have little to no human contact and then release the animals when they are ready, this will probably keep the population steady. Otherwise, there are little logical ways to restore the elephant population.
